The Celebrity Edge is a cruise ship operated by the Celebrity Cruises shipping company . It is the lead ship of the Edge class planned to consist of four units and was put into service in December 2018.

At the beginning of December 2014, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and STX France signed a letter of intent to build two ships with delivery in 2018 and 2020. The Celebrity Edge was ordered on February 1, 2015. Construction began on 21 November 2016. The keel-laying of Celebrity Edge was in the shipyard of Chantiers de l'Atlantique in the June 14, 2017 Saint-Nazaire instead. The ship was undocked on January 22, 2018 . On July 27, 2018, it took its first test drive, the last of these drives was successfully completed in September. The Celebrity Edge was delivered on October 31, 2018. The ship's first voyage was a transatlantic voyage from November 6th, 2018, followed by two further premiere voyages for advertising purposes in November and December 2018. The official maiden voyage finally took place on December 9th. The Celebrity Edge is based in Fort Lauderdale , from where it makes trips to the Caribbean during the winter months . In the summer months it is used in the Mediterranean .

The Celebrity Edge has a tonnage of 130,818 gross register tonnes, making it the largest ship in the Celebrity Cruises fleet. One of the innovations on board the Celebrity Edge is a movable deck known as The Magic Carpet , which can be used for various purposes. The ship also has a three-story lounge and the shipping company's first cabins for solo travelers.
