Celeste Mucci competed in her first international championship competition in 2016 at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz , where she finished 17th in the heptathlon with 5254 points. In 2018 she took part in the Commonwealth Games in her native Gold Coast for the first time, where she finished fourth with 5915 points. Then she was at the U20 World Championships in Tampere with 5865 points fifth. At the IAAF World Relays 2019 in Yokohama she was disqualified in the final of the hurdles relay and then she won gold and silver in 13.49 s at the Oceania Championships in Townsville with the Australian 4 x 100 meter relay in 44.47 s s over the 100 meter hurdles. She then reached the semi-finals in the 100-meter run at the Summer Universiade in Naples , where she was eliminated with 11.74 s. In addition, she retired in the 100-meter hurdles with 14.03 s in the first round and won the silver medal behind Switzerland in 43.97 s with the relay.
In 2018 and 2019 , Mucci was the Australian champion in the heptathlon and in 2019 also in the 100 meter hurdles.
