Cesare Antonio Gasperoni

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cesare Antonio Gasperoni (born October 17, 1944 in Borgo Maggiore ) is a San Marinese politician. He was twice Capitano Reggente and 1998-2000 Minister.

Gasperoni was a member of the Partito Democratico Cristiano Sammarinese (PDCS). From 1974 to 1978 and from 1988 to 2008 he was a member of the San Marinese parliament, the Consiglio Grande e Generale . Until 2005 he was President of the Central Council (Presidente del Consiglio Centrale) of the PDCS. In December 2006 he resigned from all party offices and left the PDCS parliamentary group together with Rosa Zafferani , Pier Marino Mularoni and Giovanni Lonfernini . After a few months as independent MPs, the MPs founded a new party in March 2007, the Democratici di Centro (DdC). In the following parliamentary elections in November 2008, the DdC won two seats. Gasperoni, who reached fifth place on the list, failed to make it into parliament. In 2011 the DdC merged with the Europopolari per San Marino to form the Unione per la Repubblica (UpR). Gasperoni became the party's Segretario Amministrativo. In the parliamentary elections in 2012 Gasperoni did not run, but is still a member of the party presidium of the UpR.

Gasperoni was twice Capitano Reggente (head of state) of San Marino. From October 1, 1990 to April 1, 1991 together with Roberto Bucci and again from April 1, 2005 to October 1, 2005 together with Fausta Morganti . From 1998 to 2001 he was Minister for Relations with the Municipal Councils, the AASP and the AASS (Segretario di Stato per i Rapporti con le Giunte di Castello, l'Azienda Autonoma di Stato di Produzione e l'Azienda di Stato per i Servizi) .
