Cevizdere , formerly Kürdemlik (Kurd. Kurdemilk) is a village in the central district of Elazığ Province . The village is located north of Lake Hazar and about 24 km southeast of the provincial capital Elazığ at about 1,000 m above sea level. In 2010, Cevizdere had a total of 136 inhabitants.

The former name of the village is Kürdemlik. In the original version this meant "Kurdish property". Cevizdere is a village mainly inhabited by Zaza and is the birthplace of Dursun Karataş
