action

Shambu Rathore and his son Roop (Shah Rukh Khan) are Rajasthani folk singers and earn their living as entertainers in five-star hotels in Jaipur .

The tragedy begins when Shambu's constant cough is diagnosed as throat cancer. Roop decides that they have to move to Bombay in order to provide better medical care for the father. In the big city, Roop is happy. He met the hotelier Ajay Narang, who offered him a job as a singer. On the street a mysterious woman saves him from a car that is moving too fast. She introduces herself as Zindagi (meaning life) and disappears shortly afterwards. Roop is fascinated by her and falls in love with her, but his father has already arranged a marriage for Roop. He is heartbroken about it. However, the chosen one is Pooja, it is the woman who saved Roop. Everything is perfect, but the problems begin when Roop needs money to pay for his father's surgery.

Ajay's arrogant sister Reshma falls in love with Roop. In order to fulfill her greatest wish to have Roop for herself, Narang wants to sign Roop completely. Since Roop needs the money, he cancels the wedding and enters Reshma's service. This is now trying to seduce Roop by all means. Reshma's obsession with roop continues to worsen. In the end, Roop has to steadfastly assert himself against Reshma and Ajay's claims of claim and free himself from them.

criticism

"A film that changes from a romantic comedy to a melodrama with action elements, the staging of which creates involuntary comedy rather than tension."
