Chanatip Sonkham (born March 1, 1991 ) is a Thai Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 49 kilograms.

Sonkham won her first title straight away in her first international title competition, the 2007 Asian Junior Championship in Amman , in the class up to 46 kilograms. The following year she was also successful at the Junior World Championships in Izmir and won the bronze medal. Sonkham achieved her first successes in the adult area in 2009. At the World Championships in Copenhagen she reached the quarter-finals in the class up to 49 kilograms, where she was defeated by Brigitte Yagüe . At the Universiade in Belgrade , she reached the semifinals and won the bronze medal. Sonkham won her first adult medal at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou . In the class up to 49 kilograms she only lost to Wu Jingyu in the semifinals and won the bronze medal.

At the Asian Olympic qualifying competition in Bangkok , Sonkham won the final against Erika Kasahara and secured participation in the 2012 Olympic Games in London . There she won the bronze medal after losing to Brigitte Yagüe in the semifinals.
