Reviews

For Elodie Lepage of Le Nouvel Observateur , the film was a "pathetic melodrama". Virginie Apiou from Première said that "all the intentions of the script drift into the ridiculous, as well as the ending, which with its dramatic twist is more embarrassing than touching."

Lisa Nesselson from Variety described Change moi ma vie as “a beautiful, but very pessimistic portrait of two hurt souls who have already passed through their prime”. It is about "a strongly played drama" in which Fanny Ardant and Roschdy Zem are "first class".
