Charlene McKenna (born March 26, 1984 in Glaslough , County Monaghan , Ireland ) is an Irish actress .

Life

At the age of 11, McKenna played her first acting role in the youth play Oklahoma at the Monaghan Youth Theater. From then on, she began to be more interested in acting. She studied theology and music at the Mater Dei Institute of Education in Dublin . She was featured on the television series Raw for five seasons . From 2012 to 2013 she starred in the television series Ripper Street .

McKenna has been in a relationship with American actor Adam Rothenberg , whom she met on the set of Ripper Street, since 2016 . In March 2019, they both announced their engagement.
