Charles II d'Albret

Charles II. D'Albret (* 1407, † 1471 ) from the House of Albret was Sire d ' Albret , Count of Dreux , Viscount de Tartas and Seigneur d' Orval . He was the son of Connétable Charles I. d'Albret and Marie de Sully, and through his marriage to Anne d'Armagnac the son-in-law of Bernard VII d'Armagnac , as well as Charles de Valois, duc d'Orléans .

Charles II. D'Albret became a member of the Conseil royal of King Charles VII , who made him his deputy in the Berry . He fought alongside Joan of Arc and helped the Connétable Arthur de Richemont (who in turn was his son-in-law) in the arrest of Pierre de Giacs , Queen Isabeau's lover .

From his marriage to Anne d'Armagnac on October 28, 1417, he had seven children:
