Charles Uchenna Nwaogu (born July 22, 1990 in Osogu ) is a Nigerian football player .

Career

Nwaogu began his professional career in 2007 in Poland with the second division team Znicz Pruszków , for whom he came mainly as a substitute for inserts. In 2008 he moved to Odra Opole and should become a regular there for the first time. His first two league appearances were Odra's undoing, as Nwaogu was not yet eligible to play, which is why both games were rated as lost 3-0. For Odra, he played 28 games in league and cup and scored one goal.

After the season he moved to the Baltic Sea on a free transfer to Flota Świnoujście . Already in the first season he made his breakthrough and became the top scorer of his team (eight goals). His strike partner was Damian Staniszewski , with whom Nwaogu often clashed. At the away game at Łódzki KS on September 17, 2009 there was a heated argument between the two after Staniszewski provoked him with racist slogans. Nwaogu got a red card and 3 games ban for his assault on his own teammate.

In February 2010 Ensar Arifović was his strike partner, at whose side he was the top scorer of the I league in the 2010/11 season . Nwaogu scored 20 goals in 31 games for the team of coach Petr Němec . In March 2011, he extended his contract, which expired in 2011, until 2012 after some clubs from the Ekstraklasa were interested in him during the winter break . But he got the promise to leave the club in the summer of 2011 for a transfer fee of around PLN 1,000,000 abroad.

The goal of the player and the advisor was the 2nd Bundesliga . Initially, the newly promoted FC Hansa Rostock was traded as a new club. Later, the Turkish first division promoted Samsunspor Flota offered a transfer fee of around 350,000 euros, but Nwaogu refused to move to Turkey. Ultimately, he switched to Energie Cottbus and signed a contract until 2014. The striker did not appear at Energie until the winter break, so the Lusatians terminated their contract with Nwaogu in January 2012.

On February 6, 2012, Nwaogu returned to Poland and signed a contract with Arka Gdynia until June 30, 2014 . At the beginning of September 2012 his contract was terminated and he left Arka Gdynia. He was then without a club.

In December 2012, his former club and then leader of the second division Flota Świnoujście signed him. He signed a one and a half year contract until the end of June 2014, which was extended until June 2015. In the second half of the 2013/14 season he was loaned to the first division club Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała . After the bankruptcy of Flota Świnoujście in the summer of 2015, Nwaogu mainly joined lower-class Polish clubs. In the second half of 2015/16 he was used in four games for the second division club Bytovia Bytów .
