Säfvenberg comes from Umeå in Västerbotten County . She contested her first FIS race on November 20, 2010 in Tärnaby . Only a day later she immediately achieved her first victory at this level. In her first season she got two more victories in FIS races. In December 2010, the first appearance in the European Cup followed , initially without any significant success. She won the slalom gold medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival 2011 in Liberec . Also in the 2011/12 European Cup season, she did not achieve a place in the points, but won again in several FIS races.
Säfvenberg achieved a significant increase in performance in the European Cup in the 2012/13 season. After a seventh place on November 25, 2012 in Vermdalen (when she was able to score for the first time), she went there a day later in the slalom to third place. She made her World Cup debut on December 29, 2012 in Semmering , where she achieved 42nd place in the slalom. The first victory in a European Cup slalom followed on January 19, 2013 in Schruns. At the Junior World Championship in Québec , she won the team competition. With a second place on March 8, 2013 in Lenggries , she secured second place in the slalom discipline of the European Cup.
Säfvenberg won the first World Cup points on November 16, 2013 when he was 14th in the Levi slalom . At the Junior World Championship in 2014 , she won the silver medal in slalom. Her best World Cup result so far is 10th place in the Flachau slalom on January 13, 2015.
