Cheng Shao-chieh ( Chinese  鄭 韶 婕  /  郑 韶 婕 , Pinyin Zhèng Shàojié , W.-G. Cheng Shao-chieh ; born January 4, 1986 in Taipei , Republic of China ) is a Taiwanese badminton player .

Career

In 2004 Cheng Shao-chieh won the Austrian International . In the same year she took part in badminton at the 2004 Olympics for the team of the Republic of China (Taiwan) , which was named “ Chinese Taipei ” . In the women's singles she defeated Ling Wan Ting from Hong Kong and Jun Jae-youn from South Korea in the first two rounds. In the quarter-finals, Cheng lost to Gong Ruina from the People's Republic of China 11: 3, 11: 3.

At the badminton tournament at the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 , she lost in the first round against Xie Xingfang from the People's Republic of China, who was number 1 and first in the world, in two sets.
