Chester Anderson

Chester Valentine John Anderson (* 11. August 1932 in Stoneham , Massachusetts ; † 11. April 1991 ) was an American poet and science fiction - writers .

Life

Anderson studied at the University of Miami , then worked as a typesetter and proofreader , doorman, motel manager, and editor of the rock 'n' roll magazine Crawdaddy! . He published a total of 7 books, including two volumes of poetry. His first SF novel was published in the USA in 1964 and was called The Threat from Space in German (together with Michael Kurland ). Anderson was nominated for the Hugo Award in 1968 for the first part of the Greenwich Village trilogy, Butterfly Child. Part 2 ( The Unicorn Girl ) was written by Michael Kurland and Part 3 ( The Probability Pad ) by TA Waters .

Chester Anderson died of liver failure on April 11, 1991.
