Chic Waterson
Chic Waterson , also known as Chick Waterson (born June 5, 1924 in London , United Kingdom , † October 30, 1997 in Watford , Hertfordshire ), was a British cameraman .
Live and act
Waterson went straight from school to film in 1940 and began his career as a camera assistant (e.g. at Next of Kin , 1941). After his discharge from military service, the Londoner returned to film in 1947 and began to work as a simple cameraman. He worked for Ealing Studios until 1959 and photographed a number of legendary comedy classics for this company, such as Joy to Life , Luck Came Overnight , The Man in the White Suit , Titfield Express , Oller Kahn with megalomania and ladykillers . He worked almost exclusively under the chief camera Douglas Slocombesand Gordon Dines '.
Even after 1959 Waterson formed a permanent team with Slocombe and even followed him to Hollywood, where a. a. To shoot Steven Spielberg's first two Indiana Jones adventure stories in the 1980s .
