The parliamentary elections in Sierra Leone in 1973 was on May 15, 1973 in Sierra Leone place after the legislative period was extended by one year previously.
Electoral system
There was a choice of 85 members in the unicameral parliament . One person was elected with a simple majority in each of the 85 constituencies . All Sierra Leoneans over the age of 21 who had registered as voters were eligible to vote . The mentally ill and imprisoned were excluded .
