The 2012 election in Sierra Leone took place on November 17, 2012. Incumbent President Ernest Koroma of the All People's Congress (APC) emerged as the winner of the presidential election with 58.7 percent of the vote. In the general election, the APC won 69 of the 124 seats and thus an absolute majority .

Whoever receives at least 55% of the votes in the basic election is elected. Otherwise there will be a runoff between the two best candidates.
