Elections in Sierra Leone 2007
The elections in Sierra Leone in 2007 took place in July 2007 in Sierra Leone instead.
At the national level, Parliament and the President are elected directly by the people in Sierra Leone every five years . In parliament, 112 of the 124 seats are elected, 12 seats go to regional leaders, the so-called Paramount Chiefs . Sierra Leone has a multi-party system after the All People's Congress was the only party allowed between 1978 and 1992 .
