Elections in Sierra Leone 1996

The 1996 elections in Sierra Leone took place on February 26 and 27, 1996 in Sierra Leone .

The winner of the presidential election was Ahmad Tejan Kabbah of the Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP) with 59.5 percent of the vote in the second round of the election. In the parliamentary elections, the SLPP won 27 of the 68 seats.
