Khiva Saitō
Chiwa Saitō ( Japanese 斎 藤 千 和 , Saitō Chiwa ; born March 12, 1981 in Saitama Prefecture ) is a Japanese voice actress ( seiyū ).
Life
Originally, Chiwa Saitō wanted to become an interpreter and took a specialization course in foreign languages at high school. However, she changed her mind after reading about voice actors and their work in a magazine that her mother accidentally bought. In July, in the 12th grade, she began to take lessons in dubbing at the Nihon Narration Engi Kenkyūjo, parallel to school and later during her studies . In January of the following year, after an audition, she was signed by the I'm Enterprise agency.
She made her dubbing debut with an extra role in the 1999 series Majutsushi Orphen Revenge . Already in 2001 she received a leading role as the eponymous character Kokoro in Kokoro Toshokan by the director Kōji Masunari . Her next leading role was in 2003 that of Anita King in ROD -THE TV- by the same director, but she was also used in his subsequent series ( Kamichu! And Uchū Show e Yōkoso ). With two other leading roles in 2003 - Ayame Akimo in Mōsō Kagaku Series Wandaba Style and Lavie Head in Last Exile - this was also the year of her breakthrough as a voice actress . She has just as often been cast with the female lead in series by the director Akiyuki Shimbō , such as Hazuki in Tsukuyomi - Moon Phase , Rebecca Miyamoto in Pani Poni Dash! , Hitagi Senjōgahara in Monogatari series and Homura Akemi in Puella Magi Madoka Magica .
