biography

Fausa contested her first FIS race in November 2007 in Hemsedal . At the end of November 2008, the first four appearances in the European Cup followed , in which, however, they could not yet classify in the points. On March 1st, 2009 she celebrated her first victory in an FIS giant slalom in Voss and shortly afterwards became Norwegian junior champion in both slalom and giant slalom. In 2010 she took part in the Junior World Championship in the Mont Blanc region, where she achieved the best result in 36th place in the downhill. On October 23, 2010, she contested her first and so far only World Cup race with the giant slalom in Sölden , but as 54th of the first round she could not qualify for the final. From the winter of 2010/11, Fausa started regularly in the European Cup and on December 3rd, 2010 she achieved her best result to date with 18th place in the giant slalom in Trysil .

As part of the Australian New Zealand Cup , she contested a total of nine races in the summer of 2011 and finished second in the overall standings behind her teammate Lotte Smiseth Sejersted . After 2010 and 2011 , she was also part of the Norwegian squad for the Junior World Championship in 2012 , where she achieved tenth place in slalom as the best result. At the end of the 2012 season, she again won the national junior title in slalom and giant slalom. At Norwegian Championships she has won one silver (giant slalom 2011) and three bronze medals (giant slalom 2009 and 2011, slalom 2013).

Due to her studies at the University of Utah , Fausa has started in the 2013/14 season instead of in Europe - mainly in the Nor-Am Cup . There she celebrated her first victory in the giant slalom in Vail on December 15, 2013 , followed by the second the day after.
