The Cerro Chorolque is an extinct volcano in the Potosí department in the Cordillera de Chichas mountain range in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

The Chorolque is rich in ore deposits of tin , bismuth , silver , gold and copper and is exploited from different sides by the "Chorolque" mine. The altitude data for Cerro Chorolque vary between 5,552 and 5,615 m. At the foot of the mountain is the mining settlement of Santa Bárbara , with 2,221 inhabitants (2012 census) at an altitude of 4,774 m, it is the highest permanent town in Bolivia.

In 2007/2008 a South Korean documentary was shot about living and working conditions in the Chorolque mine, which was part of the screening program of the “One World Berlin” festival in 2008.
