Chrigu is a Swiss - German documentary film by the directors Jan Gassmann and Christian Ziörjen from 2007 .

action

The film Chrigu tells the story of Christian Ziörjen (1982–2005), in whom at the age of 21 an advanced tumor was discovered in the neck, an Ewing sarcoma . Since then, "Chrigu" has fought for his life. Together with Jan Gassmann, he decided to make a film. The 90-minute documentary portrays him with his closest friends and family. Dealing with the deadly disease is portrayed with hard cuts, loosened up by cuts from happy days, parties and concerts. The film is accompanied by music by the hip-hop band Mundartisten , Chrigus Freunde. In the face of death, the film and its protagonists emphasize the value of life all the more intensely.

Thanks to Christian Ziörjen, VideoGang started offering internships - he was the first intern. After that he ran the youth show VideoGang together with Angelo Lucci until he fell ill. They also conducted various workshops and video courses together, such as B. at the Zurich and Bern sports and holiday camps in Fiesch, at the Gymnasium Rämibühl in Zurich and at the Swiss All-Star Basketball Camp.
