Christopher "Chris" William Geere (born March 18, 1981 in Cambridge , Cambridgeshire , England ) is a British actor .

life and career

Chris Geere was born in Cambridge and grew up in Winchester . He had his first acting role in 2001 at the age of 20 in the miniseries Band of Brothers . Many smaller roles in films and series followed. In 2007 he was seen in the horror film Blood and Chocolate . That same year, he was cast for the role of Matt Wilding in the BBC One series Waterloo Road . In this he was part of the main cast, but left the series before the fifth season. However, during the seventh season, he returned for 20 episodes of the series. In 2013 he was a guest for 13 episodes in the series Trollied . That same year he had a lead role in the short-lived series The Spa . Also in 2013 he played the Hesper Navigator in the film After Earth . Since 2014 he has played his first leading role in an American television series. In the FX / FXX - Sitcom You're the Worst , he embodies the role of Jimmy Shive-Overly .

In 2010 Geere married the singer-songwriter Jennifer Sawdon. In 2012 their son was born.
