Chris McCubbins
Chris McCubbins (actually Raymond Christopher McCubbins; born November 22, 1945 in Enid , Oklahoma , † August 21, 2009 in Winnipeg ) was an American - Canadian obstacle and long-distance runner .
Live and act
In 1967 he won the Pan American Games in Winnipeg over 3000 m obstacle. He settled in this city in 1972 and became a Canadian citizen in 1975.
Starting for his new home, he was twelfth over 10,000 m at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal and came 146th at the 1978 World Cross Country Championships in Glasgow.
In 1971 and 1972 he was over 3000 m obstacle and in 1977 in cross country Canadian champion. In 1967 he won the NCAA title over 3000 m obstacle starting for Oklahoma State University .
Chris McCubbins died of leukemia .
