Christopher Robanske (born December 30, 1989 in Calgary ) is a Canadian snowboarder . He starts in snowboard cross.

Career

Robanske took part in the Nor-Am Cup from 2005 to 2011, which he won in the 2009/10 season. He drove his first World Cup race in February 2009 in Cypress Mountain , which he finished in 35th place. In December 2011 he took second place in Telluride, his first podium in the World Cup. A year later, he took third place in the same place. At the 2013 Snowboard World Championships in Stoneham , he came 12th. In February 2013 he won his first and so far only world cup race in Blue Mountain . In his first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014 , he came 17th. At the end of the 2013/14 season he reached third place in Veysonnaz . He finished the season in third place in the snowboard cross ranking. At the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg , he finished 27th. In March 2015 he won the World Cup race of the 2014/15 season in La Molina and reached fifth place in the Snowboard Cross World Cup . In the 2015/16 season he finished in the top ten three times in the World Cup, including second place in Sunny Valley . At the end of the season he was seventh in the Snowboard Cross World Cup. The following year he finished 42nd in the individual competition at the Snowboard World Championships 2017 in Sierra Nevada and together with Kevin Hill won the bronze medal in the team competition. In the 2017/18 season he took second place in Bansko and 11th place at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang .
