Life

Chris Toppa started playing the guitar in early childhood . As he grew up, interest in reggae grew as he was inspired by the spiritual content and positive message of the music. He dedicated himself to the production of a singer-songwriter EP "Harvest Time", which was released in early 2010 under the name "Chris Toppa" for the first time.

In March 2010 he founded the band "Toppaman" together with drummer Jan Szarny and bassist Tim Dierich. At the end of 2010 the album "Colored World" was recorded, which was released in April 2011. In the summer of 2011 Toppa went to Jamaica to get to know the roots of reggae and the culture of the country. There he met the artist Cassafaya , who invited him to live with him in the reggae capital Kingston . During their time together, the song 'Give thanks for life' was created, which was recorded in the legendary Anchor Studio. This met with a good response from the radio stations in Kingston . The duo also convinced the organizer of the traditional Sting Festival so much that they booked it for 2011.

In his texts, Chris Toppa addresses current problems and takes a critical turn against immorality, ignorance and the ungodliness of society. He calls for a more conscious way of life and tries to encourage people to stand up for a fairer world.

In 2012 Chris Toppa was on tour with Macka B on his Germany tour. He also accompanied Mono & Nikitaman on their tour. For Jahcoustix , Capleton , Tarrus Riley , Sebastian Sturm and many other artists he appeared in the opening act.
