The Rivière à Mars is a tributary of the Saguenay Fjord in the administrative region Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean in the eastern part of the Canadian province of Quebec .
The Rivière à Mars has its source in the Laurentine Mountains in the Réserve fauniqe des Laurentides reserve . From there it flows mainly in a northerly direction. It takes up the Rivière à Mars Nord-Ouest on the left. Shortly before reaching the town of La Baie, which is incorporated by Saguenay, it flows through a 700 m long gorge. It then turns to east-northeast, flows through the center of La Baie and finally flows into the Bay of Ha! On the south bank of the Saguenay Fjord . Ha! . The Rivière à Mars has a length of 129 km. It drains an area of 660 km². Its catchment area borders on that of the Rivière Ha! Ha! , which is also in the Baie des Ha! Ha! flows out. To the west is the catchment area of the Rivière du Moulin , which flows into the Rivière Saguenay in Chicoutimi . The mean discharge of the Rivière à Mars is 14 m³ / s.
