Christa Vossschulte

Christa Vossschulte (born June 23, 1944 in Bayrischzell ) is a German CDU politician and former member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament and its vice-president (2001 to 2011).

education and profession

After graduating from high school in Giessen , she studied English and German in Marburg , Freiburg im Breisgau , London and Munich . In 1970 she passed the first state examination in Munich and the second state examination in Stuttgart in 1972 . From 1972 to 1974 she taught as a study assistant at the business school in Heidenheim an der Brenz , from 1974 to 1982 at the Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium Esslingen , where she became deputy headmaster from 1980 . From 1989 to 2007 she was again in school service at the Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium in Esslingen as senior studies director and headmistress.

Political activity

Christa Vossschulte has been a member of the CDU since 1978. From 1980 to 1989 she was a member of the board of the CDU city association Esslingen am Neckar. She has been a member of the CDU's district executive committee since 2005.

In 1982 she was appointed advisor to the Ministry of Culture and Sport. From October 2, 1989 to April 2011, she was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg as a member of the Esslingen constituency . She has been university policy spokesperson for the CDU parliamentary group since 1991 and vice-president of the state parliament since 2001.
