Ascension Day is a Catholic parish church in the Munich district of Waldtrudering . The number of parishioners on January 1, 2009 was 7,395.

history

The growing population in Waldtrudering at the beginning of the 20th century led to the building of an own church. On November 12, 1933, the church "Ascension of Christ" was inaugurated by the Archbishop of Munich , Michael Cardinal von Faulhaber . The parish belonging to it was founded in 1941, and the kindergarten that still exists today opened in 1975. A photovoltaic system was installed on the roof of the parish hall in 1997 .
