The Christian A. Bachmann Publishing was founded in 2008 by Christian A. Bachmann in Bochum founded. Since 2014, based in Berlin , the Wissenschaftsverlag has been publishing scientific publications in the fields of literary and cultural studies (including comparative literature , artist books ) with a focus on transdisciplinary comic research . In 2018 the publisher was awarded the ICOM Independent Comic Prize in the Jury's Special Prize category for a special achievement or publication .
