Christian Conrad (composer)

Christian Nikolaus Conrad (born August 7, 1971 in Ulm ; † March 5, 2019 in Berlin-Buch ) was a German sound designer and composer .

Life

As a child he received piano and later drum lessons. After graduating from high school in 1990 at the Theodeor-Heuss-Gymnasium Göttingen and doing community service, he first studied musicology and journalism at the LMU Munich . From 1996 he studied clay at the HFF Konrad Wolf in Potsdam. Christian Conrad has been a member of various bands since the mid-1990s, and with the formation Rechenzentrum he has released several recordings. Since 1999 he has worked as a sound designer and composer for cinema films alongside regular teaching activities .

Christian Conrad died on March 5, 2019 in a hospice in Berlin-Buch as a result of his ALS disease .
