action

Friday late afternoon. 35 degrees Celsius. Somewhere on the freeway. Eight strangers in three cars are on their way to Berlin. They have to get along for a few hours in the narrow, far too hot cars. In the first car from Kassel to Berlin is the 25-year-old drama school applicant Katharina, who hopes that her long-standing dream of no longer having to play with amateur groups will finally come true. In the passenger seat is Fabian, a 16-year-old student who is bored with provincial life in Kassel. He finally wants to get a taste of the big city and sleep there with a woman. 31-year-old Sylvester is in the back seat. He is a goldsmith and on a trip from Spain to Germany. He's slept little in the past two days because he has an important deal ahead of him and things can't go fast enough.

The second car drives from Cologne to Berlin. The driver of this vehicle is the 45-year-old family man Peter Kindl, who is a swimwear representative. He knows all the rest areas between Kiel and Garmisch and likes to take passengers, especially female ones. With him in the car is 21-year-old Caroline Thun. She is a German studies student, is currently writing a term paper and is on her way to see her parents because a surprise is waiting for her there. The 27-year-old dark-skinned Hilal Abass sits in the back seat. He is a teacher and a Muslim, and hardly talks to the other passengers at all because he is traveling illegally. At the end of his journey he finally wants to secure his future.

In the third car from Wetzlar to Berlin, only 37-year-old Loubelle and her eleven-year-old daughter Rosa are sitting. Loubelle generally does not take passengers. On the journey, she decides to finally change her life and wants to start immediately. Rosa doesn't believe her mother that she can do what she has set out to do. During the journey, different situations develop between the respective passengers. The three storylines ultimately come together in one way or another in Berlin.
