Christian Eckhardt (cook)
Christian Eckhardt (born September 28, 1982 in Freiburg ) is a German chef.
Career
Eckhardt completed his apprenticeship at the Hotel Bareiss in Baiersbronn and then stayed with Claus-Peter Lumpp in the Bareiss restaurant from 2005 to 2008 . In 2008 he moved to the three-star Aqua restaurant in the Ritz-Carlton with Sven Elverfeld in Wolfsburg . In 2010 he went to the three-star Schloss Schauenstein restaurant with Andreas Caminada in Fürstenau (Switzerland).
Since May 2011 he has been cooking in the Villa Rothschild restaurant in the Villa Rothschild Kempinski in Königstein , since May 2014 as head chef. The restaurant was awarded two stars in the 2015 Michelin Guide .
In 2017 Christian Eckhardt moved to Andernach , where he opened the PuRs restaurant in March 2018 . The restaurant immediately received two stars in the 2019 Michelin Guide. In Gault & Millau 2020 he was named "Newcomer of the Year".
Private
In mid-2018 he married the cook Sarah Henke .
