Christian Ehrig

Christian Ehrig (born December 1, 1964 in Übersee am Chiemsee) is a German journalist and presenter.

Life

Ehrig graduated from a university of applied sciences in Munich in 1989 . He gained his first editorial experience in the same year as an intern in the newsroom of Tele 5 . From 1990 to 1991 he did an internship at the regional television group (GRF) in Munich. As part of this training, he attended the Academy of the Bavarian Press and sat in on Radio Plus Monte Carlo in Monaco .

Christian Ehrig moderated the news, the programs Kir Regional and Live from the malt house and Teletag in the regional RTL window from until 1993 on Regensburg regional television. One year later, Christian Ehrig was studio manager at regional television in Landshut, where he presented an hour a day and gave live talks. He then moved to Sat.1 Baden-Württemberg as head of the service , where he was responsible for the national broadcast 6:30 pm and moderated the news block. Until 1996 he also worked as a correspondent for the nationwide Sat.1 news. Then he switched to the production company Teuto Tele in Stuttgart , which made contributions to the programs RTL Aktuell , Punkt 12 , Punkt 9 and Explosiv . In 1998 he took over the studio management of Teuto Tele in Dresden . He went live for RTL and produced articles for the RTL information channel. Christian Ehrig was also responsible for delivering his studio to MDR and ZDF .

In 1999 Christian Ehrig switched to RTL II in Cologne and became head of the service for the programs RTL II News and Das Nachrichtenjournal . Since 2003 he has presented the weekly magazine Das Nachrichtenjournal . For the 2004 and 2008 presidential elections , he was a correspondent for RTL II in Washington, DC and New York City. In 2009 he hosted the RTL 2 special broadcast on the federal election live from Berlin with Sandra Thier . He also reported live from the NATO summit in Baden-Baden and Strasbourg, as well as from the UN climate summit in Copenhagen.

In 2015 RTL II News moved to Berlin and Christian Ehrig became deputy head of the news department. As Cceh vom Dienst and Team Leader TV, he was also responsible for the implementation and content of RTL II News. After RTL II gave up its Berlin location at the end of 2018 for cost reasons, Ehrig returned to Cologne.

Ehrig has been working there as a freelance journalist, video producer and SEO copywriter for websites since May 2019 .
