Christian Friedrich Michaelis (medic, 1754)

Christian Friedrich Michaelis (born May 13, 1754 in Göttingen , † February 17, 1814 in Marburg ) was a German doctor.

Life

Christian Friedrich Michaelis was the son of the Göttingen theologian and orientalist Johann David Michaelis . He studied medicine in Göttingen and Groningen and received his doctorate in Strasbourg in 1776 . After studying in Paris and England , he became a doctor in the general staff of the Hessian Army Corps in the North American War of Independence . After his return he received the professorship for anatomy and practical medicine in Kassel in 1783, and in 1786 the chair for anatomy in Marburg .
