Christian Fromm (born August 15, 1990 in Berlin ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Fromm came to volleyball through a school club and began his career in 2000 at the Berlin TSC with coach Mirko Heine. In 2005 he moved to the VC Olympia Berlin youth team , who initially played in the regional league. With the German youth national team, the outside attacker reached fifth place at the European Championships and tenth place at the 2007 World Championships. The next year he was defeated with the juniors at the European Championships in Brno only in the final against France. After a successful Bundesliga season in which volleyball magazine named him “Newcomer of the Year”, Fromm moved to VfB Friedrichshafen in 2009 . At Lake Constance he was German champion twice in a row. In 2011 national coach Raúl Lozano appointed him to the senior national team for the world league . Then Fromm played a season with league rivals evivo Düren , where he was able to collect more match practice. In 2012 he went to Italy to Pallavolo Città di Castello . In 2013, Fromm reached sixth place with the German team at the European Championships in Denmark and Poland . In 2014 he switched to Italian runner-up Sir Safety Perugia . With the national team he won the bronze medal at the World Cup in Poland in 2014 and the gold medal at the European Games in Baku in 2015 . In 2016 Fromm moved to Vero Volley Monza within the Italian league , in 2017 to Turkey to Arkas Spor Izmir and in 2018 to Poland to Jastrzębski Węgiel .

Private

Fromm has been married to the national volleyball player Maren Fromm since June 2017 .
