Maren Fromm (born Maren Brinker on July 10, 1986 in Wilhelmshaven ) is a German national volleyball player .

Career

Maren Brinker began her career in her hometown at Wilhelmshavener SSV. She came to the junior team at VC Olympia Berlin via the Oldenburg TB . Since 2005 she has played in the volleyball Bundesliga at USC Braunschweig , Bayer Leverkusen , USC Münster and smart Allianz Stuttgart . In 2007 she took part in the European Championships in Belgium and Luxembourg and finished sixth with the national team . In 2009 she finished third with the national team at the Grand Prix and fourth at the European Championships in Poland . In 2010 she reached a good seventh place at the World Cup in Japan . In 2011 Maren Brinker and her club Smart Allianz Stuttgart won the DVV Cup , after which she moved to the Italian first division club Robursport Pesaro . With the national team she became vice European champion in October 2011 . In 2012 Brinker moved to Yamamay Busto Arsizio in Italy . In 2013 she won the Europa League and was again vice European champion . She then moved to the top Polish club Impel Wrocław , with which she was runner-up in 2014. Then Brinker went back to Italy for first division promoted Montichiari Volley. In 2015 she was voted Germany's volleyball player of the year . In 2016 Brinker went to Trabzon İdmanocağı in Turkey . Since the Turkish club surprisingly lost its main sponsor and could no longer pay the players, Brinker moved to Schweriner SC shortly after the start of the season . In December she was again named volleyball player of the year . In April 2017 she won the German championship for the first time with Schwerin. After their marriage Fromm moved again for one season in Turkey to Çanakkale Belediyespor. After finishing eleventh at the World Cup in Japan , Fromm ended her national team career in 2018. On October 25, the SSC Palmberg Schwerin announced the interim return of Maren Fromm to Schwerin for two months.

Fromm has been married to the national volleyball player Christian Fromm since June 2017 .
