Christian Lamhauge Holst (born December 25, 1981 in Svendborg , Denmark ) is a former Faroese football player on the position of midfielder or striker. He also played for the national team .

Soccer

Holst played in Thurø as a youth and later for Svendborg fB. In 2003 he moved to Lyngby BK in the third Danish division. 2004/05 promotion was achieved and Holst then played with Lyngby in the second division .

In the first second division season the offensive player was again champion with Lyngby and was able to celebrate promotion to the Danish Super League , in which he also played together with his compatriot Tem Hansen , who was also born in Denmark. He made his debut in the Superliga on July 22, 2007 against Randers FC from the start, in the 3-0 defeat he was substituted in the 85th minute by Rasmus Marvits . In his second game against Odense BK he scored his first goal in the top division in a 1-1 draw with the 1-0. At the end of the season, Lyngby rose last, eleven points behind the last non-relegation place. Holst was able to score nine goals in his first first division season. He then moved to Silkeborg IF , again one class lower.

In his first season, the promotion was fixed with second place in the second division, with Holst having a significant share in it with four goals. Since the 2009/10 season, the Faroese has been playing in the top Danish league again. In the first year he contributed eleven goals to keep the league. Silkeborg finished the next season in fifth place. Holst was one of the regulars again and scored six goals in the league. He was able to increase this number to ten in the 2011/12 season, but it was only enough for eighth place. A year later, the relegation followed in last place. After the 2013/14 season, which ended first, Holst moved to the third division club Fremad Amager . As the runner-up in the promotion round 2015/16, he was promoted to the second division. After the season, Holst ended his career.

National team

The offensive player has played 50 times for the Faroese national team and scored four goals. He made his debut together with Tór-Ingar Akselsen on September 6, 2003 in the qualifier for the 2004 European Championship against Scotland .
