Christian Jost (politician)

Christian Jost (born December 4, 1925 in Davos ; † September 9, 2007 there ; entitled to live there ) was a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

Live and act

Jost completed his Matura in Neuchâtel and completed a law degree at the University of Bern . In 1950 he received his PhD rer. pole. In 1956 Jost was elected Landammann of Davos and remained in this office for 24 years. Subsequently, between 1980 and 1982, he was president of the tourist and tourist association in Davos. Jost was committed to the conversion of the health resort Davos into a sports location, he was also the initiator of congress tourism .

Between 1957 and 1983 Jost sat for the Free Democratic Party in the Grisons Grand Council , of which he was president in 1972/73. Between 1979 and 1983 Jost was a member of the Swiss National Council .

From 1963 Jost was on the board of directors of the Graubündner Kantonalbank , between 1982 and 1991 as its president.
