Christian Krönes (born November 2, 1961 in Feldkirchen in Carinthia , Austria) is an Austrian producer and film director .

Life

Christian Krönes, born in 1961 in Feldkirchen , studied screenwriting and dramaturgy in the film and television department at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and at the IKM - Institute for Cultural Management and Cultural Studies and sat in with Vittorio Storaro and Sven Nykvist .

After working for several years as an editor at ORF, Christian Krönes finally began working for German television companies in 1990, worked in the following years as an international correspondent for well-known TV stations and took over the development of a media agency in Vienna. During this time, many socio-political reports from all parts of the world were created for public and private European television broadcasters. He has been Executive Producer , Director at Blackbox Film & Media since 2006 and works as a film producer in the Managing Partner Media TV. He also worked for FWG GmbH, Co (director, co-writer consultant), Frames Filmproduktion (feature author and correspondent arte), Media TV (film production) , editor-in-chief of Vienna News International GmbH, editor on behalf of RTL , DW-TV , SF-DRS , Spiegel-TV , Sat 1 , Pro 7 , RAI , NOS editor and correspondent on behalf of DW-TV, Tele 5 , Sat1, editor ORF .

From a first joint film project with Sir Peter Ustinov , a friendship and several years of artistic collaboration in television and stage productions developed. Following Sir Peter's request, Christian Krönes was also involved in the Ustinov Foundation , worked as a consultant and manager to Sir Peter Ustinov - until his death in 2004 - and played a key role in establishing the Sir Peter Ustinov Chair for Prejudice Research .
