Christian Rörig

Christian Rörig (born June 20, 1903 in Helmenzen , † October 6, 1979 in Koblenz ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Rörig attended elementary school and in 1923 passed the Abitur at the Realgymnasium Betzdorf-Kirchen. He then studied economics in Cologne, Gießen and Münster, but did not obtain a degree. From 1927 to 1933 he was employed by the local administration and the Altenkirchen district administration. From 1933 to 1937 he was unemployed and from 1937 to 1939 he was an accountant in Solingen. Between 1940 and 1945 he did military service and from 1945 worked again for the Altenkirchen district administration.

In 1930 Rörig joined the SPD and was a member of the Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold . In 1937 he became a member of the DAF . After the war he was provisional mayor of Hamm / Sieg from 1945–1947 and provisional mayor of the Altenkirchen district from 1946–1947 and 1947–1950. In addition, in 1950 he was acting district administrator for the Unterlahn district . 1950 to 1968 he was government vice-president of the Koblenz district government. For the SPD he was a member of the Advisory State Assembly in 1946/47 . He was then elected to the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament, to which he was a member until 1951. In the state parliament he was a member of the Agricultural Policy Committee, Main Committee, Budget and Finance Committee, Legal Committee and Rules of Procedure, the Reform and Savings Commission and the Interim Committee.
