Ernst Scheuer (born January 12, 1868 in Diez ; † April 10, 1952 ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Ernst Scheuer attended elementary school and then worked as an office apprentice and office secretary. From 1886 to 1899 he was city secretary. On September 7, 1895 he married Karoline Henrielle Stoll. On April 1, 1899 he became mayor of Diez. On May 28, 1919 he was appointed provisional district administrator of the Unterlahnkreis by the Commander in Chief of the 10th French Army and the German authorities . The definitive appointment was made on January 24, 1921. At the beginning of 1923 he was expelled by the French occupation authorities and found employment in Marburg and in the Reichsentschädigungsstelle in Kassel . On October 6, 1924, he was able to resume his office as district administrator. On January 1, 1933, he was retired for health and age reasons. He was a member of the supervisory board of Main-Kraftwerke AG in Höchst and was made an honorary citizen of Diez.
