Christian Trentsch
Christian Trentsch also: Trentschius Trentzsch (* 1605 in Großenhain ; † April 26, 1677 in Wittenberg ) was a German didactic logician and metaphysician .
Life
Christian was the son of the mayor of Großenhain Aegidius Trentsch (born September 1, 1565 in Großenhain; † July 16, 1648 ibid.) And his second wife Barbara Winckelmann (married. 1599; † April 10, 1623 in Großenhain), the daughter of the magistrate in Großenhain and Moritzburg Laurentius Winckelmann. After initial training at his place of birth, Trensch moved into the electoral Saxon state school St. Afra in Meissen on February 9, 1619 , which at that time was under the direction of Rector Johann Bechmann . After it had already been deposited at the University of Leipzig in 1620 , Trensch enrolled at the University of Wittenberg on October 31, 1629 , where he completed a philosophical study of oriental languages under the direction of Martin Trost .
He then moved to the University of Leipzig , where in 1634 he acquired the academic degree of a master's degree in philosophy. He then returned to Wittenberg and on October 31, 1635, he was qualified to teach oriental languages at universities as a Magister legens. For study purposes, he completed a gentlemanly journey, which led him to Denmark , among other places . He returned to Wittenberg, where he was accepted as an adjunct at the philosophical faculty on October 18, 1639. In 1649 he became a professor of didactic logic and metaphysics. As a university lecturer at Leucorea, he also took part in the university's organizational tasks. In the summer semester of 1642 and the winter semesters of 1652, 1658, 1663 and 1670 he was dean of the faculty of philosophy. He was also rector of the alma mater in the summer semesters of 1652 and 1668 .
Trentsch married Anna Maria Engelhart (1630–1688) in 1650, the daughter of Zacharias Engelhard. There are children from the marriage. We know of these:
