Christian Zwilling

Christian Zwilling (* 1738 in Kreuznach ; † August 1, 1800 in Homburg ) was a German Protestant theologian, preacher and pastor.

Life

Johann Nikolaus twin's son went to the Reformed High School in his hometown. He then studied philosophy and theology in Heidelberg and Franeker . From 1761 to 1771 he worked as a private tutor in the cities of Pirmasens , Neuchâtel and Frankfurt am Main . Next, from 1771 to 1775, he worked as a preacher for the Dutch legation in Hamburg . In the last five years of his life, Christian Zwilling was a court preacher and pastor in Homburg. In 1777 he was appointed consistorial councilor. He was also a member of the Patriotic Society .
