Christiane Julie Louise Seidel (born April 3, 1988 in Wichita Falls , Texas ) is a German-American actress .

Life

Born in Texas as the daughter of the German naval aviator Bernd Wilhelm Seidel and his Danish wife Inger Annette Mourier-Petersen, Seidel grew up in Denmark , Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony . From 2007 she studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York . In 2011 she was inducted into the cast of Martin Scorsese on his HBO television series Boardwalk Empire . There she played the role of Sigrid Mueller at the side of Michael Shannon .

On August 27, 2011, Seidel married in Hyllested Kirke .

In 2015 Christiane Seidel played her first leading role in a German-language film in the comedy Schmidt's Cat .
