Christie Golden (born November 21, 1963 in Atlanta , Georgia) is an American writer . She is the author of several titles in the Star Trek and Star Wars science fiction series . She is married and lives in the US state of Colorado .

Golden wrote a total of 15 novels and short stories in the genres of science fiction , fantasy and horror . Many of her projects are Star Trek novels. More recently, she's also been writing novels in the Star Wars universe . She has written texts for the games World of Warcraft and StarCraft and completed the completed Fate of the Jedi series of Star Wars novels. Troy Denning and Aaron Allston co-wrote this series .

In 1991, Golden started the Ravenloft novel series with the publisher Tactical Studies Rules with her first novel Vampire of the Mists . She completed the novel series with Dance of the Dead and The Enemy Within . Golden also contributed to the " Forgotten Realms " campaign world with a series of short stories . She is the author of several fantasy novels, she wrote two fantasy novels on Warcraft : The Lord of the Clans , World of Warcraft : Rise of the Horde . She has also written a StarCraft trilogy: The Dark Templar Saga ., The novel "World of Warcraft: Arthas - Rise of the Lich King". This book was the first time she hit the New York Times bestseller list. This success was followed by other World of Warcraft novels.

Under the name Jadrien Bell , she wrote a fantasy thriller AD 999 , for which she was awarded the 1999 Colorado Writers League Prize for the best novel in the genre.

She also continued her own fantasy series The Dancers Pentad . The first book in the On Fires Wings series follows a protagonist as she discovers the first of five dancers, Kevla the Flame Dancer. The second book, In Stones Clasp, tells of this flame dancer and the stone dancer, Jareth, who embodies the earth element. With this book, she won the Colorado Writers League Prize for the second time in 2005. She has written for series of books based on the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel , and novels based on Steven Spielberg's animated science fiction series Invasion America . The film producer Harve Bennett was so impressed that he invited her to Hollywood to write for the series. Still, no second season was broadcast. Finally, Golden has written two Assassin's Creed novels: Blackbeard - The Lost Log is a helper book for the video game Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag . The second book, Assassin's Creed Unity. Abstergo Entertainment - employee handbook (case file 44412: Arno Dorian) came into bookshops in 2014.

In 2017, her novel adaptation of the film Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (German: Valerian - The city of a thousand planets ) was released.
