Christina Zurbrügg

Christina Zurbrügg (born March 27, 1961 in Kiental , Reichenbach im Kandertal ) is a Swiss singer , modern yodeler, film director and currently lives in Vienna .

Live and act

Christina Zurbrügg grew up in the Bernese Oberland . She studied acting and classical singing in Vienna.

She became known with her music theater productions about Federico García Lorca . Zurbrügg deals with folk music, made the documentary “Orvuse On Oanwe” about Vienna's last dudlers and found her own roots again. The film project on Wiener Dudler is under the patronage of the Austrian UNESCO Commission.

The solo program "Christls Wunderwelt" followed later. Her song album "Jetzt" was rated as "a first-class, pop music work between tradition and modernity". Zurbrügg combines singing, rap and contemporary, modern yodelling with songwriting.

In 2001 she founded Gams Film & Music with Michael Hudecek , with whom she realized many projects together .
