Christine Corvisier

Christine Corvisier (born April 12, 1982 in Perpignan ) is a French jazz musician ( tenor saxophone , bass clarinet ).

Corvisier has been playing the saxophone since he was 14 years old. She first played in the JMSU Big Band under the direction of Jean-François Jacomino, with whom she toured internationally. She studied in Nice (first prize DEM ) and from 2004 to 2008 in Amsterdam. After studying in New York in 2009, where she took lessons with Chris Cheek and George Garzone , she moved to the Rhineland in 2010, where she initially worked with Stefan Michalke and formed the CMB Trio . With the pianist Spyros Manesis she was touring in a duo in Germany, Greece and France. Her quintet, with which she released two albums, has been made up of musicians from Cologne since 2012. She is also part of Gero Körner's quartet and Tom Lorenz's trio . Together with her husband, the guitarist Philipp Brämswig , she forms the duo Die Brämswigs .
