Christine Görner (born June 15, 1930 in Halle ) is a German opera singer (soprano) and actress .

Life

Christine Görner is the great-granddaughter of the theater director Karl August Görner and the Neustrelitz opera singer Friederike Tomasini .

After her vocal training, Christine Görner was engaged at the Hamburg State Opera at the age of 22 . After a few years she went to Munich to the State Theater on Gärtnerplatz . There she acted in Fanny (with Trude Hesterberg ), the first musical that was produced at Gärtnerplatz, and as Miesmies in the world premiere of the play opera Spiegel, das Kitten (with Ferry Gruber ). She has appeared at the Cologne Opera House , the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Bavarian State Opera , among others .

In the 1950s she was also active as an actress and took part in several film productions parallel to her stage appearances, where she always received important roles. In 1958 she took over the title role in the operetta adaptation Countess Mariza . Since 1988 Christine Görner has worked mainly as an acting and singing teacher (voice coaching), initially for five years at the Zerboni Drama School , later in her own studio. She was also successful as an interpreter with songs by Kurt Weill and Bert Brecht as well as with chansons from the 1920s, also in radio and television appearances.

Christine Görner lives in Munich. From 1960 to 1986 she was married to the chamber singer Benno Kusche , with whom she was heard several times on sound carriers, especially in operetta cross-sections. Her son Christian Kusche-Tomasini is a film composer and lives in Italy.
