Christine Lucyga (born April 6, 1944 in Kolberg , Pomerania Province ) is a German politician. She was a member of the German Bundestag from 1990 to 2005 . Christine Lucyga studied Slavic and Hispanic Studies in Rostock and received her doctorate in 1980 on Latin American literature.

From 1969 to 1989 she was a foreign language teacher at the University of Seafaring in Warnemünde and at the University of Rostock .

In the course of the reorganization of the political scene in the GDR , she has been involved in the New Forum Rostock since September 1989 . At the end of 1989 she joined the SPD . It was during the parliamentary elections in 1990 voted on 18 March for the SPD and was until October 2, 1990 the People's Chamber deputies .

Christine Lucyga was a member of the German Bundestag for the Rostock constituency from October 3, 1990 until the end of the 15th legislative period in 2005 . She was elected as a direct candidate in the 1990 , 1994 , 1998 and 2002 federal elections.

After the dissolution of the Bundestag in 2005, she did not run again for election. Christian Kleiminger was her successor .
